I’m a veteran, former law enforcement officer, antique hunter, avid thrifter, and collector of dogs : six, to be exact! After spending much of my career in public service, life took me in a completely different direction and eventually brought me to the wonderful world of cabooses, hospitality, and the Featherbed Railroad.
I’m a lover of history, the paranormal, folklore, and anything with a fascinating story behind it : the older, stranger, or more mysterious, the better! I love wandering antique and thrift stores, listening to audiobooks, warm weather, a really good thunderstorm, and spending time with our six rescue pups.
More than anything, I love spending time with my husband, Jamie, and our daughter, Scarlett. Traveling together is one of my greatest joys, and my dream is to see as much of the world as possible : one adventure, one story, and one unforgettable place at a time.
These days, I’m happiest dreaming up new experiences, uncovering forgotten stories, finding unique treasures, and creating places that make people feel a little sense of adventure themselves.
I truly believe the best places are more than somewhere you stay, they should leave you with a story to tell.
