We get the very best ideas from our guests and someone who stays here regularly suggested we have a room we can change for each season or to re-theme if someone has a special celebration. That caboose is Celebrations (formerly Rosebud).
Whatever the season, this caboose gets very special decor to celebrate that holiday or special occasion. During certain times of year, we can also re-decorate it for your very special occasion such as an anniversary, birthday or very special celebration.
In November, 2011 we redecorated Celebrations once again with all new lighting throughout. There are reading lights over the bed and unique floral lights flanking the bay window. We sourced a beautiful antique armoire from our friends at Studio Antiques. There are now two cozy wingback chairs for reading. There's also a brand new flat screen TV with both DVD and VHS player for your viewing pleasure.
Once it's time to really relax, fill up the Jacuzzi tub for a comfortable soak. Of course there is the fabulous featherbed as well.
This caboose is unique in having a dining nook with a table. While some might come here to work (for shame!) it's a great place to play one of the many games we have in our collection. We've even had guests build a model of a VW bus here.
We have decorations for all sorts of very special occasions from birthdays to anniversaries, honeymoons, babymoons, and more. While Celebrations is decorated for certain holidays throughout the year, but we can also decorate it for your special occasion at no additional charge. We've found that a lot of people have given gift certificates to the Celebrations caboose already, knowing that a special occasion will be that much more so.

Celebrations Caboose History
Celebrations started its life as a Caboose on the Southern Pacific rail line. Southern Pacific built these cabooses with bay windows instead of a cupola on the top. Since it's one of the first cabooses on the property, many of the gauges, air lines and electrical lines are still in place from its service on the railroad. We've highlighted these fittings in a beautiful wine-colored hue and restored all their copper brackets. That same color extends to the trim along the walls. There is a new climate control system and all-new Jacuzzi tub system.
Celebrations is part of Class C-30-5, one 80 cars (including 30 for SP subsidiary Texas and New Orleans or T&NO) built by SP's Los Angeles General Shops between March and May of 1949. This class appears to be identical, other than a few minor details, to class C-30-4, built by American Car and Foundry (AC&F) in 1947. AC&F manufactured body panels for class C-30-5 and shipped them to Los Angeles for assembly by SP.
