For many of our guests traveling from distant places, the thought of getting back in your vehicle and finding a great place for dinner in a new area after arriving at the Featherbed Railroad is not that pleasant. Fortunately, our catering partner Shannon Michele has a solution.
With prior arrangement, we can have a full four-course dinner waiting for you upon arrival. Recently we invited several of our close friends for a sampling of the fare and our guests absolutely raved about Shannon Michele's ability to turn the kitchen into a room full of magic.
Shannon was able to craft an extraordinary dinner that was expertly paired with a variety of Lake County wines creating a complete dining experience. These dinners include four courses - from starters to an incredible dessert - as well as wines expertly paired with the meal.
The dinners are served right in our dining room so that you don't have to spend a moment behind the wheel to get a great dinner which means you can start relaxing the moment you arrive at the Featherbed Railroad.
Shannon has immersed passion into the local agricultural scene so she knows what fruits or vegetables are at their peak of perfection and these find their way to the table.
Finding just the right wine to go with her meals is another passion of Shannon's, and she has established a relationship with a great number of local vintners and know who's wine is exceptional and worthy of a pairing with her food.
You may enjoy this experience at your own individual table, just like at breakfast, or share your time meeting other guests who have decided to participate.
Dinners are available on Friday night with prior arrangement. The price for the complete meal, including appetizer, salad, main course and dessert, all expertly paired with local wines, is just $35 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Wines are additional and about $20 per bottle - a very good deal.
