Amtrak has created a new national holiday with the hopes of generating more interest in train travel. National Train Day features railroad-themed celebrations all over the country and the Featherbed Railroad is hopping aboard, also. While we won't have spokesperson Gladys Knight stopping by that we're aware of, we will have cookies out and be playing our usual mixture of train songs on our radio station.
We will also be happily giving tours of our cabooses and even taking your picture in front of our new sign.
