While it might sometimes be difficult to predict the future, this time we can bet that we know what's happening. There's Murder in Maui - a Luau to Die For. Well, actually, this is going to be a murder mystery weekend on September 8-9 at the Featherbed Railroad.
The weekend will come complete with a Hawaiian-style luau including Kahlua pig and all sorts of tropical fixings. June lived in Hawaii for a while and soaked up the local cultures and recipes.
The murder mystery dinner is $50 per person and will culminate on Saturday, September 9. But we recommend adding Friday night where you might get some clues to help you solve the mystery! Couples who book two nights not only get a few hints, but also get one admission to the murder mystery dinner on us!
Northern California’s wine growing region of Lake County is already known for its unspoiled natural beauty, wonderful wines and friendly people. But we might be getting another reputation - a county with great murals. The latest installment of this is a new mural being painted on the side of the brick building at the corner of Third and Main Streets in Lakeport.
But that latest mural isn’t going to be alone as Lake County has several murals on public display and even a few that are hidden gems. Out in the public local muralist Gloria DeLaCruz is hard at work on her latest project called Sunrise Sailing, a beautiful capturing of sunset on Konocti from the dock as a vintage steam ship sails by.
A blog about happenings in Lake County.
